Ten years ago, as I was looking ahead to turning 60 and inspired by my Dad, I made plans to walk the Camino de Santiago. A 500-mile pilgrimage, the Camino starts in France and ends at the Cathedral of St James in Spain. The month-long walk felt epic and scary. I wanted to do something above and beyond what I thought I could do to mark this year of my life. The idea was that I would commit to myself and my family to remain active, healthy, and relevant. I’ve worked hard over the past ten years to stay faithful to that commitment.
As time has a way of doing, I now find myself staring 70 right its wrinkled face! Someone, PLEASE tell me how I am here?!?! Aaaahhhh!!! And, with that realization, I need a new epic goal that I can work toward. So, I’ll be posting again about my upcoming journey and what the past ten years have held for me. I have an idea of what I hope to do and will share that in a future post.
On my way again! I’d love to have you follow along as I think through making my way to 70 and what the next 10 years might hold. Pilgrim on!
